Lightspeed Health started during the global COVID-19 Pandemic in 2020. It started as LightSpeed Health founders went into a hospital for COVID-19 testing, but the number of completed tests were not at optimal levels.

CEO and founder, Ryan Hyde, and other entrepreneurs came together to solve this healthcare crisis. They set up more efficient ways of collecting samples from patients that made it easier to test for COVID-19. Once the hospital was running smoothly, they turned their attention to helping improve the labs run by the state of Utah.

Eventually, the software was able to not only help collect patient samples, but run the samples through Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) machines to detect traces of COVID-19. LightSpeed Health has now helped analyze thousands of samples for COVID-19.

Lighspeed Health will continue to serve the community by not only testing for COVID-19, but by testing for other ailments as well in a quick and efficient way.
